These women are an inspiring and amazing group of 700 young, single mothers and their children who are served by UWOPED*, a women’s empowerment group who offers them skills training, literacy training, as well as training in Transcendental Meditation^® to help them deal with stress. 

The lockdown has put these women in a very serious situation, where they cannot work and feed their kids.

We are working hard to raise emergency funds to feed 553 mothers and their children for one month. 

$40 will provide one mother and her children maize, rice and beans for one month. (That’s $1.43 a day.)
